When it comes to designing a new kitchen, there is plenty to think about.
Deciding on the colour and cabinets is just the first hurdle. Then there’s lighting, storage, appliances to consider – the list is endless.
It might seem a little bit overwhelming making so many decisions, but at Elmore Kitchens we are with you every step of the way, making sure that together we get it just right.
One of the most overlooked parts of the kitchen design is the sink.
Arguably the hardest working fixture in the house by all the family, it’s important that your new sink not only looks the part but is built to last.
We’re a big fan of the sink manufacturer Blanco. They excel all competition when it comes to the perfect balance between cost efficiency and durability, without compromising on style or choice.
You’d be surprised how many different sink varieties there are on the market, and your first decision is deciding if you want a single bowl, a bowl and a half or double. For me, if you’ve got the space having a bowl and a half is an absolute must.
One of our favourite sinks at Elmore Kitchens is the Blanco Andano 500/180 under-mounted sink – pictured above. The bowl itself is larger than most and is big enough to fit an oven tray lying flat which is ideal for soaking. Invest in this sink as a 1.5 or double bowl, and you’ll still have another sink free for washing up or running the tap. A small expense that can make all the difference.
Another great option that we’ve seen a rise in demand for is the Silgranit sinks by Blanco; these sinks have some beautiful style options including round bowls and glass drainers which can really add the ‘wow factor’ to your kitchen.
If you want to see some of these wonderful sinks for yourself, why not pop into our showroom. I can grab you a cuppa while we chat through the right choice for you.
